Loksa China
Loksa has chosen to control its own manufacturing base in China. Through full ownership Loksa can successfully create a new company culture based on high standards of quality, rather than unsuccessfully change an existing one – as often happens in China. This is an important distinction when operating in the Chinese market.
Loksa’s key management has spent over two decades forming business relationships in China to manufacture goods for the international market. Establishing best practice principles with key Chinese management is a critical element when establishing quality control parameters in China. This cannot be achieved within a month visit to China, or even within a year.
Loksa has established its own manufacturing base in China for the following reasons;
1) To instill a working culture based on producing high quality goods that exceed international standards.
2) To offset its investment in new manufacturing technology with China’s low labour rates and low barriers to entry.
3) To effectively achieve the economies of scale required to deliver internationally competitive prices to the global market.
Manufacturing Plants
Loksa’s first stage of a purpose built 35,000m2 factory in Jiang Xi will be commencing 2011. It will have the capacity to produce 2500 homes per year. By 2013, this plant will be further expanded to a total of 120,000m2 which will produce 10,000 homes per year. This factory will be duplicated as a specialist mining facility in Inner Mongolia.
Mining Operations
Loksa has purchased land and granite mines in the north of China and has also secured options on additional mines for utilisation at a later date. Loksa’s administrative offices are based in Guangdong, Jiang Xi and Inner Mongolia.
With this infrastructure in place, Loksa’s capacity to deliver quality products to the international market is secured.
Regional Hubs
Loksa will be establishing pre-assembly hubs in key locations, as it expands it’s operations in New Zealand, Australia and the USA. These Hubs operate as central delivery and dispatch points, for Loksa pre-engineered homes.
